Claire has worked in film for 17 years, and as a director for 10. She is a proud member of the Directors Guild of America.
Her work is included in the archives of the Film Department at The Museum of Modern Art in New York and has been shown at Palais de Tokyo in Paris. Her work has been featured in Vogue, Purple, VICE and T: The New York Times Style Magazine.
She was awarded a Cyber Film Lion at the Cannes International Festival for Creativity, and her contributions to Everything I Want to Eat: Sqirl and the New California Cooking were nominated for a James Beard Award.
Commercial clients include Apple, Twitter, American Express, PBS, The Humane Society and Dove. As a photographer, she shoots regularly for Kinfolk and Freunde von Freunden. Commissions include work for Maharam, Vitra and Issey Miyake, among others.
For three years she worked as a contributing design editor to The Atlantic and their media properties. For two years she was the Associate Editor of MANY OF THEM, a culture magazine focused on art, cinema and fashion.
She was a teaching associate in the College of Environmental Design at the University of Colorado and has been invited to speak on the value of personal image-making to the design process at the USC School of Architecture.
Claire holds two degrees in architecture. Her B.Arch. is from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Her M.L.Arch. is from the University of Southern California. In studio, she explored cinema and landscape and the color choreography of flowers to remediate Superfund and brownfield sites. Her work was published by the Graduate School of Design at Harvard University after being included in their seminal Green Infrastructure Conference.
